About the role
Responsibilities
- Educate graduate students on topics involving patient care and the identification and treatment of individuals with substance use disorders
- Create and deliver graduate-level courses through both didactic and interactive learning experiences
- Assess student performance and engage in interactive learning activities
- Participate in scholarly activities focused on the effectiveness of the MS-MHP curriculum and instructional methods
- Serve on college and university committees and participate in professional organizations
Requirements
- MSW, PhD, PsyD, MSN (Mental Health Nurse Practitioner), or MPAS (Psychiatric Physician Assistant)
- At least 5 years of experience working in a substance use disorder treatment facility
- Proven experience in training mental health providers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in curriculum and course development and implementation
- Interest in educational innovation and contemporary teaching approaches
- A track record of scholarship and the ability to mentor students and fellows
- Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, staff, and students
