About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training
  • Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with individualized treatment protocols
  • Ensure documentation is completed on time and following established procedures
  • Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
  • Assist BCBA/BC in preparation of client materials and assessments

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current RBT certification or willingness to complete 40-hour training and exam within 45 days
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and physically perform tasks like getting on/off the floor
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license/insurance in some cases
  • Ability to maintain emotional control during client outbursts
  • Strong understanding of technology for data recording on mobile devices
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Behavioral Technician, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, or Caregiver
  • Experience working with children with autism or learning disabilities
