About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training
- Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
- Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with individualized treatment protocols
- Ensure documentation is completed on time and following established procedures
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
- Assist BCBA/BC in preparation of client materials and assessments
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current RBT certification or willingness to complete 40-hour training and exam within 45 days
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and physically perform tasks like getting on/off the floor
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license/insurance in some cases
- Ability to maintain emotional control during client outbursts
- Strong understanding of technology for data recording on mobile devices
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Behavioral Technician, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, or Caregiver
- Experience working with children with autism or learning disabilities
