About the role
About the Company
Life Skills Autism Academy provides ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapy to help children on the Autism Spectrum develop critical developmental skills such as language, communication, social, and school readiness behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training
- Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
- Assist with parent and caregiver training
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation
- Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers as instructed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
- Assist BCBA/BC in preparing client materials and assessments
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current RBT certification or willingness to complete training and exam within 45 days
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and physically move quickly on the floor
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to maintain emotional control and professional conduct
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Proficiency with mobile devices for data recording
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Behavior Technician, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, or Caregiver
- Experience working with children with autism or learning disabilities
