Behavior Technician

Responsibilities

• Implement one-on-one or small group behavioral and instructional strategies based on individualized plans
• Support children in building communication, social, and adaptive daily living skills
• Observe, document, and accurately report behavioral data and progress notes
• Provide emotional and behavioral support to help children engage in classroom routines
• Assist with classroom management, transitions, and maintaining a safe learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and therapists to ensure consistent strategies
• Participate in team meetings and professional development related to ABA

Requirements

• Completed Behavioral Technician 40 hour course
• At least 1 year of teaching experience working with children
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Experience working in inclusion or intervention-based classroom settings
