Behavior Specialist III

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach support services to forensic PACT clients and medication supports to clients living independently in the community
• Provide side by side interventions focusing on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism, and encouragement
• Assist the team and consumers in providing on-going assessment of symptoms and responses to staff interventions
• Promote opportunities to participate in pro-social activities and interpersonal skill development
• Provide assistance to consumers related to transportation to court, work sites, court mandated treatment, probation/parole meetings, and appointments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, criminal justice, social work, or a related field
• At least two years of experience working with the target population
• Skills to establish supportive relationships with adults with mental illness and histories of unsuccessful community tenure
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License
