About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise all support services, activities, and programs related to the education of adults with autism and their families within an assigned caseload.
- Ensure best-practice Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) procedures are maintained and applied in the education and treatment of adults with autism.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), including functional analysis.
- Train and supervise staff in the delivery of ABA services and the implementation of crisis management procedures.
- Provide direct care to adult patients during severe behavioral crises.
Requirements
- Master’s Level Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Three (3) years of experience using Applied Behavior Analysis in the treatment of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Direct experience conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs).
- Experience with or ability to obtain certification in crisis management techniques.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with weights over 100 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working in specialized settings for the treatment of severe or complex challenging behavior.
- History of facilitating professional workshops or training.
- History of disseminating or publishing original scholarly work.
