BDS Bioprocess Technician Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Perform core production tasks in cell culture, media preparation, purification, and buffer preparation
• Execute production according to schedule using MCS automation and complete electronic batch records
• Maintain a safe, cGMP compliant work environment and follow all SOPs
• Assist in the investigation of operational deviations through the quality management system
• Perform routine maintenance checks and initial troubleshooting of operational issues
• Utilize Lean tools (5S, Standard Work) to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes
• Participate in a shift-based working pattern, including weekends and periodic night shifts

Requirements

• Leaving Certificate pass or Grade O6 in five subjects, including Maths and a science-related subject
• 250 CAO points or equivalent (for candidates aged 18–23)
• SOLAS Apprentice approval
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and nights
• Candidates with a FETAC Level 5 qualification in a related field will also be considered
