BDR Manager

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and coach a team of BDRs to create and qualify new business opportunities
• Set daily, weekly, and monthly team objectives and hold the team accountable for key performance metrics
• Build and optimize outbound sales cadences, including sequences, scripts, and email templates
• Design the BDR playbook around territory, lead routing, and tooling
• Train the BDR team on effective outreach and qualification frameworks like BANT or MEDDICC
• Report weekly and monthly on team performance, pipeline contribution, and conversion rates
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product to refine messaging and improve lead quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in a BDR/SDR manager or team-lead role
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment
• Strong record of coaching sales teams to exceed goals and KPIs
• Deep familiarity with CRMs and sales engagement software
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Ability to build new processes from scratch

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of deal-closing experience
• Familiarity with Sandler Sales methodology
