BDC Accounting Analyst/Sr. Analyst

Responsibilities

• Book investment activity in Advent Geneva
• Reconcile cash activity between internal systems and Administrator
• Assist in oversight of accounting functions performed by Administrator
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
• Assist with production and review of SEC filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K)
• Gather information for financial statement and SOX audit requests
• Prepare various compliance reports including BDC/RIC
• Develop and maintain internal controls and business processes
• Interface with external auditors and service providers

Requirements

• Strong understanding of accounting rules and industry practices
• Detail-oriented and proactive approach
• Ability to meet time-sensitive regulatory and contractual deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (CPA or equivalent)
• 2 to 5 years of accounting experience in public accounting, debt investments, or fund administration
• Experience with Advent Geneva or other general ledger systems
• Knowledge of business development companies, bank loans, and fund administration
