Battery Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform battery pack design with a focus on architectural and electrical aspects
• Develop test procedures and cell cycling equipment for electrical product and component evaluations
• Conduct technical risk and performance analysis and simulation
• Collaborate with customers and global development teams to analyze and document requirements
• Provide technical guidance through all phases of the APQP development process
• Support customer integration and validation of battery packs, including onsite support when required
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures, company policies, and legal/safety requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 8+ years of engineering experience, ideally within the battery or automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of the DFMEA process
• Experience with high voltage and high capacity lithium-ion battery systems (LTO and NMC preferred)
• Proficiency with schematic software and design verification
• Familiarity with automotive quality systems and standards (IATF/ISO)
• Experience using diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, and cyclers

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of specific experience in battery pack development
• Experience with BMS software control algorithms and hardware design
• Background in power electronics
• Experience with standardized certification testing and analysis software
