Battery System Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design battery systems including chemistry selection, cell configurations, and packaging for ESS applications
• Provide pre-sales technical support for utility-scale and commercial projects to ensure high-quality designs
• Manage technical account engagements to develop comprehensive design, installation, and operational plans
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to provide feedback on product improvements and technical issues
• Coordinate field testing and feedback collection for new hardware and software
• Develop technical documentation including specifications, manuals, and safety certifications
• Lead engagement with customers regarding ESS system application and partner integration

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in ESS engineering, design, or technical pre-sales support
• BSEE, BSME, or MS degree preferred
• Practical experience with distributed PV solar and energy storage system applications
• Strong knowledge of certification and regulatory codes for ESS installations
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Fluency in English; German or Chinese is a plus
