Battery Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

• Hands-on assembly of electric powertrain components including motors, battery packs, and inverters
• Developing and maintaining manufacturing processes as a key process owner
• Performing in-process quality control inspections and troubleshooting process deviations
• Maintaining accurate manufacturing documentation and process data in compliance with quality systems
• Performing regular inspection, cleaning, and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Maintaining maintenance logs and providing regular productivity and incident reports
• Complying with all mandated safety equipment and government regulations

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting or a two-year technical degree/certificate
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of battery or electronic components
• Proficiency in Google G-Suite and Slack
• Ability to lift 25lbs and stand for 8 hours a day

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Lean 5S, and Kanban
• High Voltage assembly experience, specifically with DC energy storage systems
• Aerospace industry manufacturing experience
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment and machines
• Previous Computer-Aided Design (CAD) experience
