Batching Technician

Responsibilities

• Follow the batching process, including accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients according to recipe specifications and production schedules
• Coordinate with the Batching Supervisor to ensure timely availability of ingredients and materials
• Monitor batching equipment and systems, troubleshooting issues and coordinating with maintenance for repairs
• Adhere to safety protocols, sanitation standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate records of batch production, ingredient usage, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance
• Collaborate with quality control and R&D teams to evaluate product quality and assist in new formulation development
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste

Requirements

• Ability to work 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm)
• Knowledge of batching equipment and systems
• Understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP, SQF)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with batching, mixing, industrial cooking, or similar production roles
• Excellent interpersonal skills
