Batching Operator

Responsibilities

• Build ingredients for batching and ensure proper transfer of dairy products according to production schedules
• Operate process equipment including high temperature heat exchange systems, tanks, pumps, and valves
• Maintain accurate production records, charts, and documentation in compliance with SOPs
• Utilize computer-based software and automated control systems for process management
• Perform equipment sanitation (CIP/SIP/COP) and maintain general housekeeping standards
• Follow all GMP, Food Safety, Allergen, and Health and Safety policies
• Safely operate lift trucks and material handling equipment
• Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate product changeovers and supply needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing (dairy experience preferred)
• Strong mathematical skills for ingredient batching and calculations
• Proficiency with PCs and basic software applications
• Technical ability to operate and understand equipment controls and mechanical operations
• Ability to obtain lift truck certification and operate equipment safely
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced training or concentration in dairy science
• Experience with MS Excel, ERP systems, or SAP
