Batching Operator

Responsibilities

• Build ingredients for batching and operate process equipment including heat exchange systems, tanks, pumps, and valves
• Follow established SOPs to ensure proper transfer of dairy products from blending to processing
• Maintain accurate production records, charts, and documentation in compliance with guidelines
• Operate computer-based software and automated control systems to manage production
• Perform equipment sanitation (CIP/SIP/COP) and maintain general housekeeping and department cleanliness
• Adhere to all GMP, Food Safety, Allergen, and Health and Safety policies
• Safely operate lift trucks and material handling equipment
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure production schedules and changeovers are met
• Identify and report any out-of-specification product conditions immediately

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing (dairy experience preferred)
• Strong mathematical skills for ingredient batching and calculations
• Proficiency with PCs and basic software (MS Excel, ERP, or SAP experience is a plus)
• Strong technical aptitude to operate equipment controls and touch panels
• Ability to obtain lift truck certification and operate equipment safely
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift (6:00pm - 6:00am)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
