Batching Lead

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight production leadership, ensuring employee safety and productivity on the designated shift
• Coordinate with the supervisory team to assign, lead, and monitor work to maximize productivity and prevent downtime
• Ensure team members follow standard operating procedures for consistency, efficiency, and compliance with safety guidelines
• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct equipment setup and adjustments
• Coordinate production run schedules to fulfill customer order volumes with minimal over-runs
• Complete all assigned paperwork, including production records, sanitation schedules, and root cause analysis
• Enter production data and results into the ERP system (SAP)
• Support employee training, continuous improvement activities, and internal/external audit activities
• Promote safety programs to reduce incidents and near-misses

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
• 1-3 years of equipment operator experience, preferably in dairy or food manufacturing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift
• Strong technical skills with the ability to operate equipment controls and touch panels
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, in a 24/7 manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using ERP or SAP systems
• Previous experience in a leadership or coaching role within a manufacturing setting
