Base Stocks Process Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in base stocks manufacturing and process engineering to support global manufacturing sites.
• Evaluate, develop, and deploy new base stocks technologies to deliver business value.
• Act as the process technology lead for capital projects, spanning from initial screening studies to unit startup.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of both grassroots and revamped facilities.
• Lead and provide guidance on process modelling development and sustainment.
• Mentor technical staff, review technical work, and deliver specialized technical training.
• Collaborate with third parties to design, test, and deploy new technologies.
• Provide troubleshooting and optimization support during abnormal operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Refining industry.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in base stocks manufacturing (preferably Group II), including distillation, catalytic processes, dewaxing, and deasphalting technology.
• Proficiency in process modelling, unit operations, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience in project development, from early screening through detailed engineering and unit commissioning.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills for working in multi-cultural global teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20% of the time.
