Base Maintenance Group Supervisor I

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment.
• Define maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability, availability, and mechanical performance.
• Conduct mechanical inspections, condition-monitoring, and failure analysis (RCA/RCFA) on motors, gearboxes, pumps, and valves.
• Troubleshoot and resolve unplanned mechanical equipment issues and support emergency repairs.
• Supervise mechanical technicians, millwrights, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient repair execution.
• Manage mechanical spare parts inventory, including bearings, seals, and hydraulic components.
• Maintain mechanical risk assessments and equipment documentation within SAP PM.
• Analyze mechanical KPIs such as MTBF and MTTR to drive continuous reliability improvements.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE, LOTO, and machine-guarding safety standards.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on mechanical experience, including motor-gearbox alignment and gearbox rebuilds.
• Expertise in pneumatic and hydraulic cylinder repair and high-pressure hydraulic systems.
• Proven skill in mechanical failure analysis (RCA/RCFA) for rotating equipment and drive systems.
• Proficiency in using SAP PM for work orders, PM routines, and equipment history.
• Strong leadership and team development skills within an industrial environment.
• Proficiency in Excel for maintenance reporting, trend analysis, and KPI dashboards.
