BAS Operator/Control Tech

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of building controls and automation systems
• Diagnose control system concerns to ensure occupancy comfort and energy efficiency
• Troubleshoot local controllers, communication wiring, programs, and schedules
• Ensure proper set-points, schedules, and sequences of operation are correctly programmed
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks including point-to-point checkouts, sensor calibration, and software backups
• Identify opportunities to conserve building energy related to HVAC systems
• Interact professionally with building occupants in person and over the phone

Requirements

• US Citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building controls and automation
• Certification in Siemens APOGEE, BACnet, or similar building automation systems
• MD Stationary Engineer license level 1 or DC Stationary Engineer license level 3
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to operate building automation systems via laptop or stationary computer
• Ability to use control technician hand tools and measuring/testing instruments
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
