Bartender

Responsibilities

• Produce beverages in accordance with Rugby Grille portion and ingredient standards
• Deliver gracious, thoughtful, and personal guest experiences following Forbes Travel Guide quality standards
• Operate all transactions through the point of sale system and record change transactions
• Monitor guests consuming alcoholic beverages in accordance with Alcohol Awareness training
• Utilize various bartending techniques including jiggering, stirring, and different shaking methods
• Build cocktails from scratch using fresh juices, house-made syrups, and bitters
• Support floor staff with table service and assist the host/hostess with guest welcoming and phone calls
• Inspect and maintain supplies, fruits, and beverages to manage liquor costs and stock levels
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, storage spaces, and equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• TIPS alcohol certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment)
• 3-5 years of bartending experience, including at least 1 year of craft cocktail experience
• Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with guests
• Ability to safely lift, carry, or move goods weighing up to 75 lbs
• Ability to maintain full mobility for the duration of a shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fine dining environment
