Bartender

Responsibilities

• Greet guests efficiently and use guest names to provide personalized service
• Prepare and serve cocktails, beverages, and garnishes according to brand standards
• Maintain exemplary cleanliness of bar areas and equipment
• Manage mis-en-place and ensure all ingredients are prepared prior to service
• Recommend and upsell menu items, including food and wine
• Handle guest billing procedures accurately and minimize rebates
• Maintain guest history files to track preferences and allergies
• Assist in controlling operational budgets and maximizing profitability
• Ensure all equipment is kept in good working condition and report maintenance faults

Requirements

• Minimum hospitality diploma or degree from a recognized school
• More than one year of experience in a similar role within luxury hotels
• Proven experience in cocktail-making, beverage service, and garnishing
• Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with MICROS or similar POS platforms
• Strong understanding of food and beverage terminology, hygiene codes, and inventory control
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
