About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily barista operations to ensure high-quality coffee and specialty drinks meet hotel standards
- Lead and support the barista team to deliver professional and efficient service
- Oversee guest interactions and ensure accurate order handling
- Maintain beverage presentation standards, including latte art
- Drive sales through effective upselling of outlet offerings and signature beverages
- Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment maintenance of the coffee station
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food allergy awareness procedures
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment
- Train and motivate team members while maintaining a positive service attitude
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience as a Barista
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role within a 4-star/5-star hotel or upscale café
- Strong knowledge of coffee beans, espresso extraction, and brewing techniques
- Skilled in latte art and specialty coffee preparation
- Excellent leadership and guest service skills
- Proficiency in English
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP preferred)
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling
