Barista

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming attitude and guide customers through menus
• Foster professional relationships with regular customers
• Maintain hygienic work areas including beverage machinery and tables
• Describe tasting notes of specialty beverages to customers
• Perform basic latte art and maintain quality standards
• Master Point of Sale applications and handle money accurately
• Complete opening, closing, and cleaning checklists
• Package food and doughnut orders according to guidelines
• Ensure food safety and prevent cross-contamination
• Manage inventory and follow FIFO protocols
• Maintain cleanliness of FOH, patio, and bathrooms

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Specialty Coffee Barista
• Food Handler Certification (must obtain within 90 days)
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to follow recipes and verbal/written instructions
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Fluency in English
