Barista

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, ranging from simple coffee and tea to elaborate specialty drinks
• Greet guests, take accurate orders, and describe menu items or suggest drinks based on customer preferences
• Provide detailed information regarding coffee blends, preparation techniques, ingredients, and allergen information
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, including utensils and equipment, in accordance with health standards
• Monitor equipment temperatures for freezers, refrigerators, and heating units to ensure proper functionality
• Stock stations with necessary paper products and beverage preparation items
• Operate cash registers and credit card machines accurately

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours per day
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
• Capability to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors
• Ability to tolerate high noise levels from music and customer traffic
• Ability to tolerate potential allergens including peanut, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy
• Punctual attendance and a professional, well-manicured appearance that reflects the restaurant's image
