Barback

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down the bar area and all necessary supplies
• Stock and restock service items including china, glassware, and silverware
• Maintain cleanliness of bar areas and clear guest tables
• Assist with food running and bussing duties
• Replenish bar snacks and produce specialty hot beverages
• Maintain proficiency in all menus and wine-by-the-glass offerings
• Ensure compliance with local liquor laws regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working in a restaurant environment
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Basic knowledge of wine, food, and cooking methods
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch, or kneel for extended periods in various environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with hotel food and beverage standards and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
