About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the overall bar and beverage program including cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Manage coffee program equipment maintenance and staff training
- Handle beverage inventory management through Optimum Control
- Order product and maintain par levels within weekly budgets
- Lead staff training in wine service, food pairings, and service excellence
- Assist guests with beverage selections and guide them through the wine program
- Create and maintain cocktail lists focusing on innovation, costing, and speed
- Maintain service and operational standards for the bar
- Perform opening, mid, and closing manager responsibilities as needed
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficiency in Optimum Control, Silverware POS, and Moneris
- Strong organizational and workload management skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Sommelier designation (Certified Sommelier, CAPS, or DipWSET)
- Passion for food, wine, and culinary excellence
