Bar Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all bar operations, including service standards, inventory management, and staff performance
• Lead, train, and supervise bar staff including bartenders and servers
• Manage bar inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to optimize profitability
• Develop and maintain innovative cocktail menus and beverage programs
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations
• Create and manage bar budgets and analyze financial performance metrics
• Deliver exceptional customer service and engage with guests
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Events, and Front Office departments
• Establish and maintain relationships with beverage vendors and suppliers
• Implement quality control procedures for drink preparation and presentation
• Monitor staff scheduling to optimize coverage and reduce labor costs
• Identify revenue enhancement opportunities through upselling and promotions

Requirements

• Minimum 6-8 years of progressive bar management experience in luxury hotels or fine dining
• Expertise in cocktail preparation, mixology, spirits, and wines
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and liquor licensing laws
• Proficiency in bar management systems and POS software
• Excellent financial acumen and experience in budgeting
• Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution skills
• Certification in hospitality or bar management
• Experience with international luxury hotel chains or Michelin-starred establishments
• Knowledge of wine pairing and sommelier principles
• Proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages
