About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, courteous and efficient food & beverage service in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards
- Work as part of a team to provide high standard of service for meeting set ups and meal functions
- Effectively handle guest concerns through empowerment
- Report equipment deficiencies or supply levels to Banquet Captains
- Maintain equipment and work areas to hotel standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene
- Comply with all safety regulations and participate in health and safety programs
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year in Food & Beverage, preferably Banquets or Conventions
- ProServe certification
- Legal ability to serve alcohol in Alberta (18+ years of age)
- Physically fit to lift trays, stand, and walk for the duration of a shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, overnights, and non-day shifts
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education in Hotel/Food and Beverage Management
