About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare all foods for banquet events according to event orders, recipes, and sanitation standards
- Cook hot and cold food items efficiently for large-volume service
- Assist with banquet setup, final plating, and presentation
- Ensure accurate portioning and timely execution of menu items
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and prep area
- Communicate effectively with the Chef and banquet team
- Address guest needs or concerns professionally
Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work safely in a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Understanding of standardized recipes and cooking terminology
- Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, and volume
- Familiarity with food allergens and dietary restrictions
- Attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with kitchen operations and scratch cooking
- Proficiency in creating visual food presentations
