About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items according to standardized recipes and chef specifications
- Follow daily preparation lists to ensure items are ready for service
- Cook food to order and maintain sauté, grill, and roasting stations
- Organize kitchen items including dry goods, equipment, and food deliveries
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including equipment and storage areas
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service operations
- Submit production needs for the following day by the end of the shift
Requirements
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques including baking, broiling, grilling, sauté, and roasting
- Understanding of food handling, safety, and restaurant guidelines
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal); Spanish is a plus
- Ability to work under stressful circumstances and adapt to changing environments
- Ability to stand, walk, or be on feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent
- 1 year of food preparation experience
- ServSafe or similar food safety certification
