About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food items according to standardized recipes and chef specifications
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including kitchen equipment and storage areas
  • Follow daily preparation lists to ensure readiness for service
  • Manage cooking times and portion sizes to meet quality and customer expectations
  • Operate and safely use various kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and slicers
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations
  • Assist with the storage of food deliveries

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques including baking, grilling, and sautéing
  • Understanding of food handling, safety, and restaurant guidelines
  • Ability to work under stressful circumstances and adapt to changing environments
  • Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary School graduate
  • ServSafe or similar food safety certification
