About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality food items under the supervision of the Banquet Chef and culinary leadership
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and plating of banquet food according to company specifications and function contracts
- Maintain established quality and quantity guidelines for all food production
- Operate various kitchen equipment including gas ranges, char broilers, tilting skillets, and convection ovens
- Work effectively in high-pressure, stressful culinary environments
Requirements
- High School diploma or related experience in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Previous experience working in a culinary field
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of a shift
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including frequent entry into refrigerators and freezers
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary diploma or professional certification in a formal culinary discipline
