Banquet Cook

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items under the supervision of the Banquet Chef and culinary leadership
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and plating of banquet food according to company specifications and function contracts
• Maintain established quality and quantity guidelines for all food production
• Operate various kitchen equipment including gas ranges, char broilers, tilting skillets, and convection ovens
• Work effectively in high-pressure, stressful culinary environments

Requirements

• High School diploma or related experience in a hotel or hospitality setting
• Previous experience working in a culinary field
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of a shift
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including frequent entry into refrigerators and freezers

Preferred Qualifications

• Culinary diploma or professional certification in a formal culinary discipline
