About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for clients throughout the duration of an event
- Allocate, delegate, and direct work to service staff, including waiters and bartenders
- Monitor service staff to ensure client expectations are met and manage staff breaks for coverage
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and drivers to resolve any client issues promptly
- Assist with event set-up, including buffets, tables, and bars
- Manage event tear-down, including clearing tables, breaking down buffets, and organizing rentals
- Perform administrative tasks such as returning event paperwork to the catering office
Requirements
- High school graduation
- FoodSafe Level 1 certification
- Serving It Right certificate
- Minimum of three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to lift up to 45lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Classically trained fine dining experience
- Familiarity with bartending duties
- Strong supervisory, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to make accurate and rapid calculations
- Ability to work flexible hours and within a team environment
