About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute and supervise the duties of banquet servers, bartenders, and house personnel
  • Ensure staff effectiveness through coaching, counseling, and performance appraisal
  • Enforce systems, policies, and procedures
  • Act as department head in the manager’s absence
  • Investigate and resolve service complaints to maintain guest satisfaction
  • Ensure banquet spaces are clean, organized, and prepared according to schedules
  • Utilize Point of Sale, Sales & Catering, and Inventory Management programs
  • Assist in recruitment, orientation, and training of new staff
  • Comply with all Health Code guidelines
  • Coordinate activities with all departments for efficient service

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent
  • 6 months to one year of related experience in a premier banquet facility
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience with Point of Sale, Inventory Management, and Sales & Catering systems
