About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise the duties of banquet servers, bartenders, and house personnel
- Ensure staff effectiveness through coaching, counseling, and performance appraisal
- Enforce systems, policies, and procedures
- Act as department head in the manager’s absence
- Investigate and resolve service complaints to maintain guest satisfaction
- Ensure banquet spaces are clean, organized, and prepared according to schedules
- Utilize Point of Sale, Sales & Catering, and Inventory Management programs
- Assist in recruitment, orientation, and training of new staff
- Comply with all Health Code guidelines
- Coordinate activities with all departments for efficient service
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent
- 6 months to one year of related experience in a premier banquet facility
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience with Point of Sale, Inventory Management, and Sales & Catering systems
