About the role
Responsibilities
- Represent secured and unsecured creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings
- Primarily handle creditor-side litigation, with occasional representation of debtors in Chapter 11 proceedings
- Manage cases from intake through resolution
- Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
- Argue motions in court and attend depositions and hearings
- Advise clients on bankruptcy strategy and recovery options
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in bankruptcy law
- Strong focus on creditor-side work
- Proven ability to first-chair bankruptcy litigation
- Ability to manage matters independently
- Excellent legal writing, advocacy, and courtroom skills
- Admission to practice in Texas
