About the role
Responsibilities
- Work across regional services to provide complex care and support
- Accompany individuals to leisure activities, personal appointments, and work
- Help maintain domestic standards and encourage service users to participate in household tasks
- Assist with personal care and the preparation of healthy, balanced meals
- Administer medication as required following full training
- Update paperwork, online care systems, and other administrative tasks
- Support individuals through periods of anxiety or risk-related behaviours
Requirements
- Must be currently working in healthcare or have recent UK-based healthcare experience (within the last 12 months)
- Willingness to learn about autism and the specific duties of a support worker
- Ability to work flexible hours across various shift patterns (long days, half days, or waking nights)
- Reliable and dependable approach to relief work
- Ability to make a positive difference in the lives of others
