About the role

Responsibilities

  • Guide, direct, and coach employees to deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects
  • Develop and execute branch business plans to maximize growth, customer retention, and acquisition
  • Conduct sales calls and establish personal referral networks to drive business development
  • Manage team performance by coaching employees, recognizing achievements, and managing development
  • Resolve complex customer issues and ensure adherence to national service standards
  • Monitor sales and service performance against plans to identify and close performance gaps
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and Bank policy requirements
  • Maintain high-touch relationships with key branch customers and community stakeholders

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in banking or a related field
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • In-depth knowledge of retail banking products, services, and industry trends
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Working knowledge of branch operational processes, technologies, and performance metrics
  • Experience with consumer loan origination and familiarity with Regulation Z and the S.A.F.E. Act
