About the role
Responsibilities
- Guide, direct, and coach employees to deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects
- Develop and execute a branch business plan to maximize growth, customer retention, and acquisition
- Conduct sales calls, establish personal referral networks, and perform business development activities
- Identify customer financial needs and provide strategic advice on products and services
- Monitor sales and service performance against plans to identify gaps and implement action plans
- Manage branch operating expenses and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and Bank policies
- Resolve complex customer issues and maintain high-touch relationships with key market clients
- Lead the implementation of new programs, products, and regional sales initiatives within the branch
Requirements
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in banking or a related field
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- In-depth knowledge of retail banking products, services, and competitive marketplace trends
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a retail banking environment
- Working knowledge of branch operational processes, technologies, and performance metrics
- Familiarity with applicable banking regulations and audit standards
