About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Bank-specific accounting records
- Prepare and support timely submission of regulatory filings including Call Reports, FR Y-series, and FDIC filings
- Perform reconciliations, validations, and analytical reviews for data accuracy
- Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Risk, Operations, and Data teams to validate regulatory data
- Support bank-related disclosures in SEC filings regarding regulatory capital, deposits, and liquidity
- Research regulatory instructions and implement changes from new products or updates
- Identify reporting issues, data inconsistencies, and control gaps
- Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and external audits
- Maintain regulatory reporting procedures and controls documentation
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or regulatory reporting within a regulated financial institution
- Experience with bank regulatory reports such as Call Reports or FR Y-series
- Experience performing reconciliations, controls, and data validation
- Experience supporting audits or regulatory examinations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a bank or fintech with a bank partner
- Knowledge of FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, and FFIEC requirements
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with regulatory reporting systems or data warehouses
- CPA or other professional accounting certification
