Band Teacher

Responsibilities

• Build a classroom culture in which scholars develop a love for band
• Collaborate with band teachers across the network to build a superb band program
• Produce top-notch concerts for scholars to showcase their playing skills
• Inspire a love for band through rigorous lessons and centering scholar learning on creating, connecting, performing, and responding to artistic works
• Engage in training and collaborating with band teachers and leaders across the network for professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or pending completion)
• Track record of success in engaging students in band
• Teaching experience with knowledge of band instruments and resources
• Experience working with a group of children
• Leadership experience in a club, team, or management capacity
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities
