Ballistics Expert

Responsibilities

• Analyze firearm evidence, ballistic reports, projectile trajectories, and ammunition data
• Perform incident reconstruction using scene photographs, surveillance footage, and witness statements
• Author clear, objective, and well-supported expert reports detailing findings and methodologies
• Provide credible deposition and trial testimony to explain complex forensic findings to legal professionals

Requirements

• Extensive background in forensic ballistics, firearms examination, or related forensic disciplines
• Prior experience providing sworn testimony in depositions or trial settings as a disclosed expert
• Expert-level knowledge of firearm mechanics, ammunition characteristics, and trajectory analysis
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills with the ability to meet strict legal deadlines
