Ballistics Expert

Responsibilities

• Analyze firearm evidence, ballistic reports, projectile trajectories, ammunition data, and autopsy findings
• Review scene photographs, surveillance footage, and witness statements for incident reconstruction
• Author clear, well-supported, and objective expert reports detailing findings and methodologies
• Provide credible deposition and trial testimony to explain complex ballistic findings to legal professionals

Requirements

• Extensive background in forensic ballistics, firearms examination, or crime laboratory analysis
• Prior experience providing sworn testimony in depositions or trial settings as a disclosed expert
• Expert-level knowledge of firearm mechanics, ammunition characteristics, and trajectory analysis
• Strong ability to interpret complex forensic evidence and communicate findings to non-technical audiences
• Exceptional writing skills and ability to meet strict legal deadlines
