Baler Operative

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily checks are performed on machinery and mobile plant
• Manage day-to-day operations within the MDR MRF facility baler hall
• Ensure all produced bales meet quality and length specifications
• Report safety or environmental issues to the Site Management team
• Conduct regular checks on MRF machinery and complete associated paperwork
• Report plant breakdown maintenance issues and liaise with the maintenance team
• Optimize plant operation to balance material quality and rejection rate targets
• Control stock levels through collections to prevent facility over-filling

Requirements

• English literacy level 1 or equivalent
• Ability to work at height
• Mobile Plant licence (Fork Truck, Tele-Handler, or Loading Shovel)
• Good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn new skills
