Balance Sheet Substantiation Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage operational Balance Sheet Substantiation activities within the Global Accounting Operations hub
• Ensure all reconciliations are prepared in accordance with the Balance Sheet Reconciliation Policy
• Monitor exceptions closely and provide timely updates to management regarding resolution status
• Partner with Global Process Owners (GPO) to drive process re-engineering, automation, and change management
• Maintain strong reconciliation controls and identify potential risks or process deficiencies
• Meet SLA requirements and maintain high Balanced Scorecard ratings
• Collaborate with IT, vendors, and project teams to improve reconciliation processes and support technology roll-outs

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance or an MBA
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in Balance Sheet Substantiation, Accounting Operations, or Controllership
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
• Proven experience working within a Shared Services environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, and workbook maintenance)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize complex financial transactions
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under high-pressure deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA
• Experience with Hyperion Essbase or Oracle Financials (ARCS)
