About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the bakery team to achieve production and sales goals
- Ensure bakery cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory, scheduling, and daily operations to maintain efficiency
- Engage with the local community and support programs like ‘End of Day Giving’
- Create a friendly, inclusive, and motivating workplace culture
Requirements
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience in a bakery, food production, retail, or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills and experience managing inventory and schedules
- Basic financial understanding, including cash handling and budgeting
- Proficiency with computer applications such as email, Word, and Excel
- Physical ability to perform bakery tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 22 kg
