Bakery Clerk

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
• Provide high-quality customer service and handle special orders and phone inquiries
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area, including cleaning equipment, shelves, and floors
• Stock, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while monitoring product rotation and expiration dates
• Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and temperature
• Operate bakery equipment such as scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks safely

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Valid Food Handlers permit
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/transfer items up to 40 lbs
• Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-oriented attitude
