About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare dough for breads, rolls, bagels, pizzas, and other bakery items
- Bake a variety of products including cookies, cakes, muffins, pies, and desserts
- Prepare icings, fillings, toppings, and sauces
- Package and check finished products for quality and accuracy before delivery
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, fryers, and scales
- Clean equipment and maintain a safe, organized work area
- Load carts and assist with distributing products across campus dining locations
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and follow directions
- Dependability and strong teamwork skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a bakery, patisserie, or food service setting
- One year of experience in an institutional or commercial bakery
- Experience with high-volume production and order verification
