Responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts according to hotel standards
  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and freshness of all bakery items
  • Support the smooth operation of the bakery section within the kitchen
  • Work closely with the culinary team to meet guest expectations and daily production requirements
  • Manage assigned tasks efficiently, ensuring timely preparation and delivery
  • Assist in planning production schedules and maintaining stock levels of ingredients
  • Monitor and minimize waste while ensuring cost control
  • Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products
  • Continuously develop baking techniques and introduce creativity in product offerings

Requirements

  • Diploma or certification in Bakery, Pastry Arts, or Culinary Arts
  • Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within a hotel or high-volume kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, fermentation, and pastry production
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency
  • Good time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in bakery presentation
  • Physical stamina to work early shifts and long hours
  • Basic communication skills in English
