Baker

Responsibilities

• Prepare homemade baked products including muffins, cookies, breads, rolls, and desserts for campus dining halls, catering, and cash operations
• Follow approved recipes and consistently meet production quality standards and goals
• Perform daily and weekly sanitation duties to maintain the bakeshop area and equipment
• Assist with the development and testing of new recipes and products
• Maintain accurate records, including recipes, production reports, HACCP, and sanitation reports
• Provide input to the Head Baker regarding menu ideas, production, and service suggestions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, understand, and adjust recipes
• Proficiency with fractions, weights, and measures
• Valid Driver's License and ability to meet the College’s Motor Vehicle Use Policy
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment physical
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
• 3–5 years of bakery production experience
• Experience working in high-volume food service operations
• ServSafe certification
