About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake breads for hotel breakfast and handle special bakery orders
- Execute mise en place including cuts, sauces, and special ingredients
- Follow recipes and quality standards strictly for presentation and taste
- Maintain inventory of prepared products and report weekly to the Chef
- Assist the bakery and pastry team with operational tasks
- Set up and maintain the dessert buffet, ensuring freshness and replenishment
- Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of work areas, equipment, and refrigeration units
- Pack and store preparations correctly to ensure optimal preservation
- Report ingredient shortages to the area supervisor
- Comply with safety, health, LQA, SQF, and HACCP standards
Requirements
- Technical degree in Gastronomy, Bakery, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bakery production
- Basic English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Strong commitment to hygiene and workspace organization
- Ability to work efficiently with high attention to detail
